    The Bear is a multimodal communicator who uses symbols, words, sounds, gestures, signs, body language and movement to communicate. Every way she communicates is valued. If we know what Claire is communicating, we respond accordingly. If we are not sure, we try to assist her to tell us in another way, and shape her communications so that they can be readily understood by more and more communication partners, in more and more situations. 

    Multimodal communication matters.

    The Bear created this rainbow in a program that was shared with us by the team at Two Way Street. We were able to import a rainbow image to colour-in via eye gaze at www.digitalpainters.org.
